Big enough to throw some catnip for my 1 year old cat to roll around in. It seemed smaller than expected but was still useful in doing my small to medium pots. Definitely not made for larger projects. Material was pretty sturdy more like a tarp. It is pretty to clean. I use mine for repotting and some other small things like adding moss. Overall I live on the 2nd floor of an apartment and this was exactly what I needed at a decent price.
