This crafting mat is self-healing and is also used as fabric cutting mat, dressmaking cutting board, modelling board, a versatile hobby board and are ideal sewing products and a must have item for your sewing accessories.
SELF-HEALING - The self-healing cutting mat A1 consists of 5 layers of different PVC materials. When an incision is made, the top layers of the self-healing mat contract together to hide the cut and keep the surface flat.
SUSTAINABLE - The two underlying layers are made from strong recycled PVC, which reduces the environmental footprint of our product. The middle layer gives the sewing mat robustness. To maintain quality, do not bend the craft cutting mat.
PROFESSIONAL GRID - Both sides of the hobby mat include a metric patchwork grid. The patterns and text are professionally applied, ensuring long-lasting readability.
COLOUR & SIZE - Elan cutting mat blue has two different tones of blue. On one side it is light blue and the other side is a bit darker blue. Elan cutting mats have an imperial scale available in sizes A0 (35.4 x 47 inch), A1 (23.5 x 35.5 inch), A2 (18 x 23.5 inch), A3 (12 x 17.5 inch), A4 (9 x 12 inch).

Happy with the board, I use mine all the time, and love the blue color.Nice and thick. Solid and stiff. I will use it for my die cutting machine in place of the top plate.I like the color & size...the only problem is I wish it was magnetic also...This is a thick and sturdy cutting board with bright colors and lines for easy visibility. Very thick and durable. I've been using it for both cutting, and finishing out FDM printed items, this has worked really well.We have some Fisker options lying around that have worked great but wanted to try this one out since we needed something smaller so that it can fit into a specific amount of space. This wound up fitting perfectly in that space and we have been using it for around a few weeks or so now.So far, it compares quite well in quality. We were kind of teetering on the price vs size when it came to the score as it is noticeably smaller (24x18 vs the 24x36 Fisker ones) at only a fraction less in price. This almost dropped it a star. However, the quality of the mat won us over in the end. It works well and seems like it will continue to do so through the years. If anything changes, of course, we will update.If you find yourself cutting and trimming a lot of various projects, hobbies, or random things...you should own one of these (regardless of brand, as long as the quality is on this level). Self-healing has to work and when it does, it will last a long time (usually). If you've ever gone to cut a sheet of paper or anything else and wondered what you should put underneath it so you don't scratch the surface below it, this is it. I've been using it for over a month now for a variety of craft projects here at home and it has held up beautifully. Plus the mat still looks brand new! It is sturdy, durable and feels like it is made out of excellent quality materials.I also love that it has measurements printed right there for an easy reference. It has saved me a ton of time and makes it really easy to remember what sized items I am working with. Plus I also like using this mat to photographed my finished projects, so I know exactly how big they ended up being. I can't think of one bad thing to write about this mat. It's absolutely prefect and has been a lot more useful than I expected.This is just the sort of mat I have been looking for. It is generously sized, accurately marked, and self-healing. This makes it perfect for my rotary cutting needs when making quilts. It is nicely thick, making it heavier than others I have owned in the past, so it doesn't slide around as I work.This was a bit more expensive than some others but purchased it hoping for a better quality. Very pleased I chose this one.It is well made and measurements are clear. Have used it frequently since purchase and it hardly shows a mark on the surface. Would purchase again if I ever need to replace it.Really good quality cutting board, with clear white lines to follow. Keeps the desk clean. One comment it does slip a little, but don't let that put you off. Nice big size too.All patchwork quilting is done in inches so this is of no use whatsoever for that.Not only does it bend easily but the cuts do not repair very well. I would not buy this make again.Disappointed that the mat is not self healing. It is a great size but the purpose of purchase is that it should self heal. See photo to support my claim.
