First, this is the cutest mat and is a great size for my large, fake planter litter box. I was highly impressed by how much space it had. Not one of those that barely covers the opening and doesn’t go for enough to be effective. I’ve had litter mats before that didn’t do a good job of catching the litter (or holding it) but this is a material that is almost like a soft exercise mat with a verified texture if that makes sense. It does a better job of containing rogue litter better than anything else I’ve tried. It’s also easy to clean. I just run my vacuum over it and it all comes out.The back of it is a thick rubber that has a slight stickiness to it making it adhere well. Even with crazy kittens racing around on it and chewing on it, it stays put and is holding up well.The only downfall, and it’s likely a positive for most people is that it is completely waterproof. Great for accidents but when my kitten spilled the water bowl, it traveled under the whole mat and halfway across the bathroom because the thick rubber acted as a conduit for it. Like I said, minor issue and is a positive for most people.Overall, this is a great mat!
